DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Justin Williams homered and had two hits, and Ryan Weber pitched six scoreless innings as the Durham Bulls topped the Charlotte Knights 5-2 on Friday.

Weber (6-3) picked up the win after he struck out eight and walked one while allowing four hits.

Durham started the scoring in the second inning when Williams hit a solo home run.

After Durham added four runs, the Knights cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Matt Skole hit a two-run single.

Spencer Adams (1-3) went four innings, allowing five runs and eight hits in the International League game. He also struck out one and walked two. Ruben Alaniz recorded his third save of the season.

For the Knights, Nicky Delmonico doubled and singled twice.
