WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) -- Madison Stokes hit a two-run double in the fifth inning to give the Williamsport Crosscutters a 3-1 win over the Tri-City ValleyCats on Friday.
The double by Stokes capped a three-run inning for the Crosscutters that started when Jonathan Guzman hit a single, scoring Brayan Gonzalez.
Keylan Killgore got Michael Wielansky to ground out with a runner on first to end the game for his second save of the season.
In the top of the fifth, Tri-City broke a scoreless tie on a single by Carlos Machado that scored Ramiro Rodriguez.
Williamsport right-hander Francisco Morales (3-0) picked up the win after allowing one run on five hits over five innings. Opposing starter Felipe Tejada (2-2) took the loss in the New York-Penn League game after giving up three runs and six hits over 4 2/3 innings.
Rodriguez was a home run short of the cycle for the ValleyCats.
