SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -- Rafael Narea hit a two-run double in the third inning, leading the South Bend Cubs to a 6-1 win over the Beloit Snappers on Friday.

The double by Narea, part of a three-run inning, gave the Cubs a 2-1 lead before Austin Filiere hit a sacrifice fly later in the inning.

South Bend right-hander Javier Assad (5-5) picked up the win after allowing one run on seven hits over five innings. Opposing starter Ivan Andueza (1-5) took the loss in the Midwest League game after a rough outing in which he allowed six runs and eight hits over three innings.
