JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Cam Maron homered and had two hits as the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp topped the Pensacola Blue Wahoos 3-2 in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday.

Clayton Mortensen got Gabriel Guerrero to hit into a double play with runners on first and second to end the game for his second save of the season.

Trailing 1-0 in the third, Jacksonville took the lead when Yefri Perez scored on a sacrifice and John Norwood hit a sacrifice fly.

After Jacksonville added a run in the fourth on a home run by Maron, the Blue Wahoos cut into the deficit in the seventh inning when Adrian Nieto hit an RBI single, driving in Eric Jagielo.

Severino Gonzalez (2-4) got the win in relief while Pensacola starter Deck McGuire (6-5) took the loss in the Southern League game.

Despite the loss, Pensacola is 10-4 against Jacksonville this season.
