WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) -- Wander Franco hit a two-run double in the fourth inning to give the Wilmington Blue Rocks a 3-1 win over the Salem Red Sox in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday.

The double by Franco capped a three-run inning for the Blue Rocks that started when Chris DeVito hit a single, scoring D.J. Burt.

Richard Lovelady struck Jeremy Rivera out with a runner on first to end the game for his sixth save of the season.

In the top of the second, Salem grabbed the lead on a single by Rivera that scored Jose Sermo.

Wilmington right-hander Andres Machado (3-6) picked up the win after allowing one run on just four hits over five innings. Opposing starter Dedgar Jimenez (8-2) took the loss in the Carolina League game after allowing three runs and four hits over six innings.
