PEARL, Miss. (AP) -- Keith Curcio drove in Joey Meneses with a sacrifice fly in the second inning, leading the Mississippi Braves to a 6-3 win over the Montgomery Biscuits on Sunday.

The sacrifice fly by Curcio, part of a two-run inning, gave the Braves a 1-0 lead before Dylan Moore hit an RBI single later in the inning.

With the score tied 2-2 in the third, the Braves took the lead for good when Meneses hit a two-run double.

Meneses doubled and singled, driving home two runs for Mississippi.

Mississippi left-hander Luiz Gohara (1-1) picked up the win after allowing two runs on six hits over five innings. Opposing starter Yoel Espinal (0-2) took the loss in the Southern League game after a rough outing in which he allowed four runs and three hits over three innings. Philip Pfeifer recorded his first save of the season.
