DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Jeimer Candelario homered and doubled, scoring three runs while driving in two as the Iowa Cubs defeated the Omaha Storm Chasers 16-3 on Sunday.

John Andreoli homered and doubled with four RBIs for Iowa.

Iowa had three big innings in the blowout victory, scoring four runs in the first inning, five runs in the fourth and four runs in the eighth.

The key inning was the first, when Bijan Rademacher hit a two-run double.

Iowa right-hander Casey Kelly (4-1) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing one run on eight hits over six innings. Opposing starter Christian Binford (3-5) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game after a rough outing in which he allowed nine runs and eight hits over 3 2/3 innings.

Dean Anna homered and singled, scoring two runs for the Storm Chasers. Frank Schwindel homered and singled.
