CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Christopher Bostick hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning, leading the Indianapolis Indians to a 12-11 win over the Charlotte Knights on Sunday.
Angel Sanchez allowed two runs, but struck Ronald Bueno out with a runner on first to end the game for his first save of the season.
The home run by Bostick capped a four-run inning and gave the Indians a 5-4 lead after Eury Perez hit an RBI single earlier in the inning.
The Indians later added two runs in the eighth and five in the ninth. In the eighth, Eric Wood and Danny Ortiz hit solo home runs, while Ortiz hit a three-run home run in the ninth.
Charlotte saw its comeback attempt come up short after Yoan Moncada hit a sacrifice fly and Jacob May hit an RBI single in the ninth to cut the Indianapolis lead to 12-11.
Antonio Bastardo (1-0) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while Bobby Parnell (0-1) took the loss in the International League game.
Rymer Liriano homered twice and singled twice, scoring three runs while also driving in three for the Knights. Cody Asche tripled and singled, driving in two runs.
Indianapolis improved to 5-1 against Charlotte this season.
